17/10/2011

The Leica Store Mayfair invites you to a series of special events in the run-up to the festive season between 29th November and 13th December.

If you are looking to purchase that special gift for yourself or as a present, our knowledgeable team can advise on just the right camera or accessory and, to help you decide, we will be running a series of drop-in Leica Akademie sessions showcasing our award-winning products, including both the special edition Leica D-Lux 5 Titanium and the exquisite new Paul Smith for Leica leather case (exclusively available in store). Details of the drop-in Akademie timetable can be found below

You can have a complimentary portrait taken in our Studio-S with the 37.5 megapixel Leica S2 medium format camera, and Steyning Photo Books will be appearing on selected days offering their range of Leica-related books and showcasing the hot-off-the-press 8th edition of the Leica Pocket Book.

Please join us to enjoy some seasonal hospitality, and to have your purchase gift-wrapped, with our compliments.

There will also be three very special guest speakers:

Tom is established as one of the world’s most respected photojournalists producing a series of campaigning photographic projects on the serious world issues of our time from being in Beirut when the Israeli forces bombed Yasser Arafat’s besieged PLO base to being aboard the Greenpeace boat ‘Rainbow Warrior’ to reporting the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Tom’s in-depth work on the HIV/AIDS pandemic blighting sub-Saharan Africa has been exhibited and published extensively and won several awards, as has his iWITNESS book.
