Leica compact Ultravid binoculars: now with AquaDura™ coating

26/11/2010

AquaDura™ high-performance coating protects Leica Ultravid compact binoculars from rain and dirt, and ensures easier cleaning

AquaDura

Leica has announced that all its Ultravid compact binoculars will now be coated with the company’s special AquaDura coating, currently featured on its full-sized binoculars.

Leica AquaDura is a hydrophobic coating which, thanks to its water- and dirt-repellent properties, guarantees the owner clear visibility even in the poorest of weather conditions. Rain simply runs off the lenses, while fingerprints and particles of dirt are easy to remove. Furthermore, the coating ensures that the valuable lenses are protected against potential damage.

The following Ultravid binoculars incorporating AquaDura technology are available:

  • Leica Ultravid 8x20 BR (rubber coated) - £569
  • Leica Ultravid 10x25 BR (rubber coated) - £595
  • Leica Ultravid 8x20 BL (leather covered) - £629
  • Leica Ultravid 10x25 BL (leather covered) - £669

Finished in the highest quality materials, Leica Ultravid binoculars are shock-absorbent, watertight to a depth of five metres and are nitrogen-filled to ensure no internal fogging of the lenses during changing temperatures.

Leica Ultravid compact binoculars can be purchased in the UK from authorised Leica dealers including the Leica Store Mayfair: www.leica-storemayfair.co.uk, tel: 020 7629 1351.
