Birdfair 2012

Leica will be located on Stand 8 at the end of the Optics Marquee overlooking the lagoon, showcasing its entire range of Ultravid HD and Trinovid binoculars, monoculars, Apo-Televid spotting scopes and compact digital cameras, as well as its award-winning digiscoping equipment.

Known worldwide for its outstanding optics, Leica is the only company to offer a complete, premium digiscoping solution from one brand. The combination of Leica’s powerful Apo-Televid spotting scopes with its easy-to-use tripods and heads, and high quality compact digital cameras with special adaptors, means you’re guaranteed an exceptional digiscoping experience with stunning photographic results, even in the most challenging conditions.

Digiscoping adaptors are available for the Leica D-Lux 5 and also the brand new Leica X2, two high performance compact cameras offering outstanding image quality. Leica also offers a universal solution, the Digital Adaptor 3, which enables the use of almost any compact digital camera, including camera phones, with the Apo-Televid scopes.

Also available to try at the show will be two super-zoom cameras ideal for birding. The Leica V-Lux 40 is a pocket-friendly, versatile compact digital camera with 20x zoom, touch-screen operation, 3D mode and GPS tagging, while the Leica V-Lux 3 is a rugged 12 megapixel, high-performance digital camera with 24x optical zoom, RAW shooting mode, fully adjustable LCD, high speed continuous shooting mode and HD video.

Leica’s experienced team will be on hand to demonstrate the products, offer advice and answer any questions throughout the show.
