On 10 May 2012 Leica announced the introduction of the new S-Adapter H, allowing owners of Hasselblad H system lenses the opportunity to fully exploit their potential on the Leica S2 camera body.

To celebrate the introduction of this new adapter, Leica Camera Ltd has secured a very limited quantity of a special set comprising:

1. Leica S2-P (body only)

Developed exclusively for digital photography with the size and handling of a 35 mm camera, its performance and quality set new standards for medium-format photography. The complete Leica S-System was developed together with professional photographers – with the goal of offering high quality pictures and effortless operation and handling. The system is based on a completely new image sensor in Leica S-Format, 30 x 45 mm in size and with the classic Leica aspect ratio of 3 to 2. The large area and integrated design afford optimal picture quality. With 37.5 million pixels, cropping is also never a problem, even for large-format prints

2.Platinum Service Package

The S2-P comes with both our Premium and Platinum service package offering even more benefits. The Premium service package extends the full scope of the warranty to two years. Should any defect occur within the first three months, the product will be exchanged. Customers purchasing the Premium package also receive a 30% discount on repairs not covered by the warranty, such as impact damage. Platinum customers will also receive a replacement unit for the period of the repair, so that their work is not interrupted. In most regions an exchange within 24 hours can be guaranteed. Moreover, one maintenance service is offered by the Leica Customer Service free-of-charge so that the camera doesn't fail in the first place. Replacement of the camera shutter or lens central shutter, if necessary, is also free after more than 100,000 exposures.

3. Multi-function battery grip for S

The multi-functional handgrip S fulfils a dual purpose: it holds an additional battery, improving the power supply, and offers a comfortable grip for vertical formats. A second release button and a click wheel facilitate freehand photography, for example, when shooting portraits.

4. S-Adapter H

This adapter allows all Hasselblad H-system lenses to be mounted on a Leica S2-P camera body. All lens functions, such as autofocus, central shutter control and automatic diaphragm are retained. The smart electronics of the adapter facilitate the complete integration of the lenses into the Leica S-System.

Please note that the S-Adapter H is not compatible with the Hasselblad tilt and shift adapter, Teleconverter or extension tubes.
