Leica will be exhibiting at this year’s Birdfair (20-22 August at Rutland Water), which promises to be a bigger and better event for bird watchers than ever before!
Located in the Optics Marquee, Leica will be demonstrating its complete range of Ultravid binoculars and Apo-Televid spotting scopes, as well as its high-performance digiscoping kit.

The combination of Leica’s powerful Apo-Televid spotting scopes with its easy-to-use Trica 1 or Trima 1 tripods and high quality compact digital cameras with special adaptors, means you’re guaranteed a high-performance digiscoping experience with stunning photographic results, even in the most challenging conditions.
Leica will also feature a number of new products, including the Leica Monovid 8x20 monocular with its close-focus lens (available in black or red) and a selection of digital cameras, including the brand new Leica V-Lux 20 with its powerful 12x optical zoom and innovative GPS tagging option. This ingenious feature records the location and date/time of every image, allowing you to document exactly where and when a bird was photographed.
Throughout the show, there will be expert demonstrations and appearances from guest speakers including world record holder, Alan Davies, TV naturalist Nick Baker and Leica’s very own digiscoping expert from the US, Jeff Bouton. There will also be competitions on the Leica stand with exciting prizes to be won.
